Picturing your own necklace or bracelet? Shay's can create one-of-a-kind designs or restyle out-of-date pieces into new designs. Come in and visit with our design experts and let us help you get started.
1. Consultation. We begin with a conversation between you and Shay or another designer to understand your vision, budget, and timeframe.
You may bring pictures, drawings/sketches, or an idea to discuss about what you’re looking for and wanting. If possible we’ll browse through our existing collections, design books and custom work so that we can get a feel for your style. After the initial consultation we will put together a quote.
2. Design. Our designer will create either a hand sketch and/or will use computer-aided design so that you may view the design in 3D on the screen. Once it is approved, we will send it to production.
3. Production. Once approved, the design is passed to our jewelers, who will craft the piece. This involves developing a wax mold, casting in the metal chosen, setting stones, and finishing the piece. At this point, your deposit is NO LONGER Refundable, but we are happy to accommodate minor design adjustments.
4. Completion. Your custom piece is ready for you to pick up. Most custom projects are completed within 2-6 weeks.
